The band program at St. Augustine and St. Mary's Cathedral School is sponsored by Cathedral High School . Ted Chopp is the instructor and teaches at several different schools.  The bands consist of parochial elementary students throughout the St. Cloud area.  St. Augustine and St. Mary's Cathedral School has the largest participation so far.

INSTRUMENTS
Band instruments are divided into three main sections: brass, woodwind and percussion.
Brass: trombone, baritone, tuba, French horn, trumpet, cornet.
Woodwind: flute, clarinet, oboe, piccolo, saxophone.
Percussion: bass drum, snare drum, xylophone, timpani.
Instruments may be purchased, rented.



PRACTICES
Band students meet at St. Augustine and St. Mary's School after school on Wednesdays, 3:00 to 3:30p.m. for Intermediate Band and 3:30p.m. - 4:00p.m. for Beginning Band.

Individual or small group practices will be given weekly at the student's school.

CONCERTS
We have two concerts per year, Christmas and Spring. The dates will be announced at a later time.
Each concert is preceded by a dress rehearsal. Dress rehearsals last 30-45 minutes.
